Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉
While our students have been enjoying the final days of summer, our Winkler teachers and staff have been hard at WORK! 🔨 From training sessions and safety preparation to grade-level meetings, PLCs, content-area planning, co-teaching training (for our multi-lingual learner and exceptional children students), professional development, classroom preparation, and so much more, our team has been laying the foundation for an incredible year.
And now, there is just one thing missing from these classrooms… OUR WOLVES! 🐺❤️💛
We can’t wait to welcome students back TOMORROW, Wednesday, August 12!
⏰ Student drop-off begins at 8:40 AM.

A few important reminders for Wolfpack families:
* 📖 Student & Family Handbook: Our 2026–2027 Winkler Middle School Student & Family Handbook has been updated with important policies, procedures, and expectations. Families should review it together so every Wolf arrives informed and ready for a successful year.
* 💻 School Fees: Please review and submit applicable student fees through the district’s K12 Payment Center. These funds help provide instructional materials, technology, and other resources that directly support students.
* 🍎 Breakfast & Lunch: School meals are not automatically free for all students. We strongly encourage every family to complete the meal benefits application, even if you are unsure whether you qualify. Approved applications support families and can help Winkler qualify for additional federal funding and resources. Families should also monitor meal balances throughout the year. Both payments and applications can be found at the district's Linq Connect system.
* 🚌 Transportation: Bus riders should check Edulog tonight to confirm their assigned bus stop and approximate pickup/drop-off times. Please remember that transportation times may fluctuate during the first several days as routes settle into their normal routines.
Tomorrow, the halls are full again—and the real work begins. New year. New opportunities. One Wolfpack. Together, we’re building something great from foundation to finish! 🏗️🐺
